Film and television's biggest names descended upon Santa Monica last night for the 29th Critics' Choice Awards. Barbie led with a record-breaking eighteen nominations in the film categories, while Oppenheimer and Poor Things were close behind with thirteen each. Apple TV's The Morning Show led the television categories with six nominations and Succession with five. On the red carpet, two major trends reappeared from last week's Golden Globes: Sweet Romance and Modern Black Tie attire.

The classic color combo of black and white dominated the red carpet as stars like Billie Eilish wore a white shirtdress fitted underneath a black Thom Browne dress. On the men's side, Steven Yeun wore a pearl-encrusted jacket and tuxedo pants from Pharell's debut men's collection for Louis Vuitton. Best Supporting Actress Winner Da'Vine Joy Rudolph wowed audiences in a custom Jovana Louis gown in a black mermaid shape styled by Wayman + Micah. Classic white was interpreted in interesting silhouettes worn by the likes of The Bear's Ayo Edebiri in a relaxed look from The Row and Keri Russell, who wore a Stéphane Rolland creamy couture creation.

Rosettes made us fall in love with the sweet romance trend as the neckline of Margot Robbie's blood-red Balmain dress, the shoulder of Emily Blunt's sequined Armani Privé look, and the entirety of Dua Lipa's Prada dress were enveloped in pretty petals. A painterly floral motif adorned Ali Wong's green Givenchy gown, while Elizabeth Debicki was all wrapped in a big bow from Oscar De La Renta. Blue hues were a major callout of the night as Lily Gladstone beamed in a custom Christian Siriano while Rosamund Pike and Matt Bomer both donned the color in their sequins and suits.
