The 18-year-old recently made the change when introducing herself at an Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority event.

Just like any other young college student, Angelina Jolie’s daughter, Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt, is currently busy finding her way and making a name for herself — but apparently, that name no longer includes “Pitt.”

On Thursday, the mother-of-six brought two of her eldest children, Maddox and Pax, to help celebrate their sister becoming one of the newest members of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority during a luncheon on Spelman College’s Atlanta, Georgia campus. While Jolie shares all six of her children, including the three in attendance, with her ex-husband Brad Pitt, Zahara decided to introduce herself to her sorority without her dad's last name.

In a video shared by Essence just a day prior (which can be viewed here), the 18-year-old appeared to drop Pitt from her moniker when announcing herself to the Mu Pi chapter of the AKA sorority. “My name is Zahara Marley Jolie,” she shared. “Coming all the way from the Golden State in the city that is full of angels, Los Angeles, California … I am this line’s number seven.”

“Angie is very proud for Zahara,” a source told Essence of Angelina, who also shares children Shiloh, Vivienne, and Knox with Pitt. “She is impressed by her choice to work hard, her interest in service and her wish to join the AKA sisterhood — one of the many impressive HCBU sororities. It meant so much to Angie and Zahara’s siblings to be there to support her, and to congratulate all the other girls.”

Jolie’s presence at Zahara’s sorority luncheon isn’t the first time that she’s paid a visit to Spelman College. Last year, the actress proved that she’s just like any other mom when she was spotted doing the electric slide at her daughter’s orientation days before she helped move her in for her freshman year.
