This week, Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep had a mini Devil Wears Prada reunion on the red carpet. The former co-stars both attended The Clooney Foundation for Justice’s Albie Awards at the New York Public Library (Emily Blunt was also there), and were seemingly in agreement that sequins are going to be huge this fall.

Posing for a photo together inside the gala, Hathaway and Streep — who haven't been publicly seen together since the 2014 Oscars — each delivered their personal takes on the glitzy trend. Anne, for her part, wore a mint green and silver chevron-printed Versace dress with lace detailing at the bodice. She carried a metallic handbag, and added even more sparkle to her look with diamond cuff bracelets, a diamond necklace, and diamond earrings.

Meanwhile, Streep opted for a black crewneck sweater covered in rhinestones. She paired her shimmering knitted top with black slacks and dress shoes, as well as thick-rimmed glasses.

Hathaway and Streep's reunion came 17 years after the two first starred together in the cult film. Streep earned herself an Oscar nomination for her role as fashion magazine editor Miranda Priestley, while Hathaway played her unstylish assistant.

As for the possibility of an on-screen reunion, don't get your hopes up.

Back in 2022, Anne told E! News that there weren't any plans for a remake. "I'm so sorry to say that if there's if that is going on, nobody's told me," she said. "But I think that it would have to be a completely different set of people like the way that they've been doing TV series based on hit movies. I could see it possibly going in that direction, but I don't know that any of us would be involved in it."
