We see London, we see France, we see Milan's underpants! Turns out, one of the hottest trends on the spring runways is to barely wear any clothing at all. Instead, the trend calls for sheer, diaphanous dresses that leave little to the imagination paired with underpinnings as layering pieces. And there's an option for everyone: Love to match? Go with Fendi's coordinated stripes. Prefer a pop of color? No. 21 has you covered (er, sort of) in a hot pink set under pretty beige chiffon. Modest types will like Alberta Ferretti's full-coverage boyshorts, while maximalists will be pleased as punch to sport Gucci's seafoam green satin unitard topped off with a disco dress.
Of course, when it comes to wearing the look IRL, most will probably feel more comfortable wearing a slip under dresses that sheer—but the message this season is totally clear: If you've got it, flaunt it.
