Halsey Wore a Sexy See-Through Dress and Sky-High Heels to the Oscars After-Party

Most people have nightmares about going out in public in just their underwear, but Halsey managed to turn it into a high-fashion moment when they arrived at the Vanity Fair Oscar After-Party wearing a black thong and ... not much else.

The singer took to the carpet in an intricate black lace Dolce & Gabanna dress featuring opaque bustier cups, blingy gold chain straps, and a dramatic train. They kept accessories simple by pairing the lace with black platform heels, gold chain earrings, a smattering of rings, and (most importantly) a stringy black thong. Halsey's graphic black liner look matched the edgy vibe of their dress, and their slicked-back tresses truly let the outfit — or lack thereof — take center stage.

With an increasing number of celebs reaching for sheer dresses and tops in recent weeks, it was only a matter of time until Halsey — who's no stranger to daring fashion choices — gave us their take on the revealing trend. This sexy look came only days after the star turned heads on yet another red carpet while wearing a jaw-dropping jumpsuit to attend the iHeartRadio Music Awards on March 22.

According to their Instagram, Halsey created makeup looks for both events on their own using products from their makeup line, about-face beauty. The brand's most recent collection, titled Saturation Nation, launched on March 23 and featured eye paints and lipsticks in a variety of vibrant shades.

"Makeup is one of my greatest loves, and I've always stood firm in the belief that it's about having fun — not looking perfect," they captioned a photo posted to the brand's Instagram. "I always feel the most free when I'm creating looks without any rules. I hope this collection of existing AF products (in an insane range of new shades) inspires you to do the same."
