The Fountain of Youth may be the stuff of myth, but that doesn’t mean that beauty can’t be bottled. After all, buzzy L.A. health destination Erewhon Market is quickly becoming synonymous with beverages imbued with beauty and wellness benefits. Its blends of organic fruits, vegetables, and health-minded additives promise far more than just a delicious drink.

After an excess of viral success with Hailey Bieber’s Strawberry Glaze smoothie—a sweet concoction containing sea moss, hyaluronic acid, and collagen that fans swear lends to a luminous complexion—the market is launching its first-ever beauty brand and cold-pressed juice collaboration. The next It sip? A fungi-infused green juice created in partnership with Origins and integrative medicine advocate and practitioner Dr. Andrew Weil that hinges on the power of mushrooms.

Inspired by adaptogenic mushrooms and other ingredients from the new Dr. Andrew Weil for Origins Mega-Mushroom Restorative Skin Concentrate—the latest in the best-selling line from Dr. Weil and Origins—Erewhon’s Mega-Mushroom Juice features chaga, reishi, and tremella in addition to cold-pressed fruits and veggies, sea moss, and pearl powder. Dr. Weil notes that while mushrooms are indeed a beauty powerhouse, the fungi boast internal benefits, too. “Mushrooms have great therapeutic benefits and have long been ignored by Western medicine,” he says. “Reishi and chaga support immune function, and protect against infection and cancer. Reishi is also a powerful anti-inflammatory agent.”

And if it’s drinkable radiance you’re after, this juice earns its $12 price tag with its glow factor alone. According to studies,  tremella polysaccharide—an active body within the fruiting fungi—produces hydrating and plumping effects similar to hyaluronic acid at a fraction of the cost. Add irritation-quelling chaga, rejuvenating reishi, and microbiome-balancing sea moss, and you have a green juice designed to reinvigorate from the inside out.

Though the beauty-branded juice represents an inaugural moment for all involved, Origins and Dr. Weil have worked together for nearly two decades, the joint Mega-Mushroom products relying on various fungi to calm, soothe, and bolster complexions. “It’s exciting to see how people worldwide have begun to see and feel a difference when they use mushroom-infused skincare,” says Amber Garrison, global brand president at Origins. “Origins was one of the original beauty brands to harness the power of mushrooms in skincare, and there is still so much to learn from this incredibly efficacious organism.”
