Yesterday afternoon, the cast of Friends gathered to pay their respects to their friend and co-star, Matthew Perry. According to multiple outlets, including People, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer were in attendance at a private memorial service at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles, which is near the storied Warner Bros. Studios, where Friends was filmed.

The service comes after an outpouring of love from Perry's fans, past co-stars, and his Friends cast mates, who issued a joint statement shortly after his death last weekend. Salma HayekKate Hudson, and Friends director James Burrows have all shared stories about working with the actor and memories of his singular sense of humor and professionalism.

On Oct. 28, Perry, who was 54 years old, was found unresponsive in the hot tub at his L.A. home. First responders later declared him dead at the scene after a "rapid medical assessment." His cause of death has been deferred after an autopsy, however. Authorities told NBC News that the report will be pending toxicology assessment and further investigation has been petitioned.

Perry's family released a statement to People earlier in the week, saying, "We are heartbroken by the tragic loss of our beloved son and brother. Matthew brought so much joy to the world, both as an actor and a friend. You all meant so much to him and we appreciate the tremendous outpouring of love."

Perry's friends and family established The Matthew Perry Foundation on Friday. The actor was planning to establish an organization to support anyone suffering from substance abuse for decades before his passing and his friends and family made sure that the dream would materialize.

"The Matthew Perry Foundation is the realization of Matthew's enduring commitment to helping others struggling with the disease of addiction," the organization's mission statement reads. "It will honor his legacy and be guided by his own words and experiences and driven by his passion for making a difference in as many lives as possible."
