If you don't know Gracie Abrams yet, you will soon. Not only is she an up-and-coming singer-songwriter, but she has already been tapped by some of the biggest names in music, opening for Taylor Swift in 2023 on her sold-out Eras Tour and Olivia Rodrigo on her Sour Tour in 2022. Despite her newcomer status in the music industry, Gracie is no stranger to Hollywood as the child of J.J. and Katie Abrams.

Her dad, J.J., is the creator behind iconic shows like Lost and Alias and also directed several of the Star Wars films, including The Force Awakens. Her mom, Katie, is a former political aide who worked in Washington, D.C. according to People. Today, she is the co-CEO of a production company with her husband where they produce a variety of projects. The Abrams have three children together, Henry, Gracie, and August, and have been married since 1996.

The 24-year-old singer-songwriter first got into music in 2019 with her first single, "Mean It," followed by an EP, Minor, in 2021. Despite working with Benny Blanco on the single "Unlearn" and joining Olivia Rodrigo on her Sour Tour in 2022, Abrams's mainstream success followed the debut of her full-length album Good Riddance and a little help from Taylor Swift.

Abrams opened for Swift on the mega-hit Eras Tour, exposing her to millions of fans across the U.S. She will join the Reputation singer again on the second leg of her tour in 2024. At the 66th Annual Grammy Awards, Abrams is up for the highly-coveted Best New Artist category, a Grammy honor that Swift was nominated for in 2008 and Rodrigo won in 2022.

Clearly, Abrams is a fan of women supporting women in music. Most recently, the singer fangirled over iconic songwriter Joni Mitchell at the Grammy Awards, explaining that one of her tattoos was inspired by the song "River" from Mitchell's Blue album.
