Jessica Alba and Cash Warren's Relationship Timeline

Married for 15 years and together for nearly 20, Jessica Alba and Cash Warren, at this point, are basically a Hollywood anomaly.

The two first met on the set of the superhero flick Fantastic Four in 2004, and it was then that Alba knew Warren was the one. "I just knew when I met him that I was going to know him forever. It was weird; He instantly felt like family," she previously told InStyle about the couple's unbelievable connection in 2013. "I'd never felt like that with anyone. We got each other. We're kindred spirits."

In 2008, they got married and welcomed their first child, a daughter named Honor, before they grew their family by two more, a daughter named Haven and a son named Hayes. Despite having three kids and separate careers, Jessica and Cash's bond has continued to grow over the years. Take a look back at their love story below.

2004: Jessica Alba and Cash Warren meet on the set of Fantastic Four.

Jessica and Cash first met on the set of the sci-fi film Fantastic Four (she played Sue Storm, he was a director's assistant). During filming, Warren was tasked with taking Polaroid photos of Alba in different colored contact lenses, and apparently, the two were instantly attracted to each other.

"I was laser-focused, zeroed in on her," Cash said during an interview on the couple's YouTube channel.

December 2007: Jessica Alba and Cash Warren announce they are expecting their first child together and get engaged.

It was a month filled with happy news for Alba and Warren, who not only announced they were expecting their first child together but also got engaged.  

May 2008: Jessica Alba and Cash Warren get married.

Jessica and Cash eloped at the Beverly Hills courthouse on May 19, 2008. At the time, Alba was nine months pregnant, and the ceremony was a last-minute decision. 

“It wasn’t planned. It was literally, ‘Honey, do you have anything to do this morning?’ And he was like, ‘No.’ So I said, ‘Should we go to the courthouse and get married?’ And he was like, ‘Yeah,’" Alba previously told Glamour UK, adding that they got waffles to celebrate afterward. 

June 2008: Jessica Alba and Cash Warren welcome their first child. 

A month after their wedding, Jessica and Cash welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Honor Marie Warren, on June 7, 2008.

February 2011: Jessica Alba and Cash Warren are expecting a second baby.

Jessica revealed that she and Cash were expecting another baby together. 

"I thought I'd drop by to let you all in on some exciting news — Honor is going to be a Big Sister!" Alba wrote on Twitter at the time. "Cash and I are thrilled and wanted to share the news directly with you so you didn't hear about it somewhere else. I appreciated all of the love and support you all gave me during my first pregnancy and will definitely appreciate it again this time around. Have a great day!"

August 2011: Jessica Alba and Cash Warren welcome their second child.

The couple became a family of four on August 13, 2011, when they welcomed a second daughter, Haven Garner Warren. 

Unexpectedly, Haven was delivered inside her amniotic sac, which ended up inspiring her unique name. "Cash said, 'She was born in her safe haven,'" Alba previously told People. "And so there we had it."

July 2017: Jessica Alba and Cash Warren reveal they are expecting a third child.

Alba announced she was pregnant with a third baby with the help of her two daughters, Honor and Haven, on Instagram. Holding up a balloon in the shape of the number three, Alba cradled her growing belly while her daughters stood next to her.

"@cash_warren and I are officially going to be outnumbered #babyonboard #herewegoagain 👶🏼🤰🏽#blessed🙏," she wrote in the caption of the clip.

August 2017: Jessica Alba and Cash Warren step out in coordinating denim looks.

The soon-to-be parents of three went on a low-key stroll around Los Angeles in matching denim outfits. Jessica, for her part, wore a wide-legged denim jumpsuit with a gray T-shirt underneath, while Cash opted for medium-wash jeans and a black tee.

December 2017: Jessica Alba and Cash Warren welcome a baby boy. 

Jessica and Cash rang in the New Year in the most unforgettable way back in 2017. On December 31st, the couple welcomed their third child and first son, Hayes Alba Warren.

“Hayes Alba Warren 12/31/17 Best gift to ring in the New Year!!” she wrote. “Cash and I feel so blessed. Haven and Honor are already obsessed with their new baby bro.”

December 2019: Jessica Alba and Cash Warren walk the red carpet with their three children. 

Two years following their son's arrival, Jessica and Cash walked the red carpet for the first time as a family of five. The couple and their three children — Honor, Haven, and Hayes – attended the Baby2Baby holiday party at the Montage in Beverly Hills.

May 2021: Jessica Alba and Cash Warren revealed their daughter walked in on them in the bedroom.

Alba and Warren shared a relatable parenting moment on the actress's YouTube show Getting Honest. While speaking with fellow celebrity parents Rachel Zoe and Rodger Berman, the couple revealed that their daughter Haven once walked in on them while they were in the bedroom. "It was the worst," Warren recalled. "We spent five minutes in our bedroom laughing. And being like, 'I can't believe we just ruined our daughter, we just ruined her.'"

He added that they had to "own it" and couldn't pretend nothing happened, so he went to go talk to his young daughter. "I went downstairs and said, 'Haven, I bet that's the last time you walk into our room without knocking,'" he laughed. "Now she knocks. It was like she learned her lesson."

May 2023: Jessica Alba and Cash Warren celebrate their 15th wedding anniversary.

Jessica and Cash made it to the 15-year mark of their marriage, and to celebrate the milestone, the actress shared a throwback photo of the pair on Instagram along with a sweet message for her husband. "15 years of marriage 🫶🏽 te amo @cash_warren ❤️‍🔥," she wrote.

August 2023:  Cash Warren says he once broke up with Jessica Alba over jealousy.

During an episode of Whine Down with Jana Kramer, Warren explained that he and Alba took a break four years into their relationship. "When we first started dating, I was really jealous of other guys and the attention she was getting from other guys. It just wasn’t making me feel good," he said. "I was always a pretty confident person in my own [life], walking my own path and really happy there, and next thing you know, I’m looking up and feeling jealous all the time."

He continued, "I was like, ‘I hate feeling like this. It doesn’t make me feel good, and I know it doesn’t make you feel good.’ And we broke up four years into our relationship. We broke up. It was the jealousy. I was turning into an asshole, and so we broke up."

The two ended up finding their way back to each other — and the rest, as they say, is history.
