Fall 2024's Biggest Jewelry Trends Are All About Shine

Now that New York Fashion Week is drawing to a climatic close giving us plenty of ready-to-wear trends to get inspired by. Now it's time for us to crown our favorite pieces and delve into the treasure trove of jewelry that walked down the runways.

From bold baubles to cascading crystals, it seems this fall's jewelry motto is: it's time to shine! Designers Carolina Herrera and Brandon Maxwell went for the elegant, decadent route with their bijoux, experimenting with beaded-fringed earrings and gold nugget broochs. Meanwhile, the playful pieces, from the piles of pearls at Batsheva to the bounty of charms at Coach, were given a joyous, irreverent touch that made us rethink our jewelry game.

Vintage-style cameo brooches were given a hip update at Anna Sui with funky-colored beads. This jewelry update was the perfect encapsulation of Sui's "old-is-now" approach to design.

Brandon Maxwell struck gold with his fall/winter 2024 jewelry offerings. Statement earrings that looked like unrefined nuggets of gold added interest to his tailored clothing.

These long-beaded fringe earrings at Carolina Herrera recall the grandeur of going to a gala or opera and will make a grand statement no matter what outfit you style them with.

Collina Strada

"Fairy punk" is how we'd sum up the unique jewelry we saw at the Collina Strada show. Whimsically shaped star-like necklaces and earrings gave each look on the runway a touch of edge.

Prabal Gurung

Prabal Gurung balanced the lush textures of his ready-to-wear pieces with sleek, oversized lucite collars and bangles that added a bit of futurism to his romantic looks.

The earrings at the Jason Wu show gave off the magical impression of entangled metallic vines sprinkled with tiny crystals for a bit of shine.

Piles of pearl necklaces were worn by the models who walked down the Batsheva runway. The extra large pearls didn't feel stuffy but instead charming and cheeky with their overblown scale.

At Wiederhoeft baroque pearls were affixed to nets of gold that made it look as though they were freshly collected from the ocean. We're also still fawning over those mini bags!

No one does chic boho style quite like Ulla Johnson. The polished stone earrings felt fresh yet still retained an organic quality, which added to their covetablity.

Luar

Beyoncé wasn't the only thing that made time stop at the Luar show. 80s-style gold Watches were affixed to one another to create a statement necklace that made us pause in admiration.

Stuart Vevers took a joyful approach to his jewelry designs for the Coach show, with models looking as if they were playing dress up with huge diamante earrings and candy-colored hair barrettes.

We fell in love with mini-bouquet brooches at Tory Burch that came in metal and enamel iterations. The floral flourishes felt like a modern way to add visual interest to neutral-colored clothing.
