Kim Kardashian Says This Is Why North West Prefers to Stay at Kanye's Apartment

They say parents shouldn't play favorites, but what about kids? Despite mother-daughter costumes and trips to Japan, Kim Kardashian's daughter, North West, seems to be picking her dad's side when it comes to housing. On this week's episode of The Kardashians, Kim told her older sister Kourtney that North prefers to stay at Kanye West's apartment.

"She'll be like, 'Dad is the best,'" Kim said. "'He has it all figured out. He doesn't have a nanny, he doesn't have a chef, he doesn't have security. He lives in an apartment.' And she'll start crying, 'Why don't you have an apartment? I can't believe we don't have an apartment.'"

Kourtney chimed in that she can totally relate to the sentiment, given that she shares her three kids Mason, Penelope, and Reign, with her ex Scott Disick. "They do that at Scott's too," she explained. "'Dad has the best house, your house sucks. He has the best house. It's not super big, the vibe's better.' I feel like everything falls on the parent that's more involved.'"

After her conversation with Kourtney, Kim made an effort to spend some quality one-on-one time with her eldest daughter. No matter what's going on between them personally, Kim added that she always goes to her older sister for parenting advice. "Kourtney always says that North is my lesson on this planet," Kim admitted in a confessional. "I'm supposed to learn even more about patience — she teaches me patience. She has taught me a lot about life."

Kim also shares daughter Chicago and sons Saint and Psalm with her ex-husband. Kim initially filed for divorce from Kanye back in February 2021, and the former couple officially finalized the breakup in November 2022.
