Get ready kids: A real wise guy is going to host your favorite awards show. Blake Shelton is bringing his sense of humor to the 2016 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards.

The singer announced the big news on the Today show on Monday. "My agent called and was like, 'Man, you know, is there anything that you can think of that you'd want to do?' ... and I actually had been thinking, 'I want to host those Kids' Choice Awards!'" he said. "And she was like, 'Uh, OK ...'"

But his main reason for hosting? "I want to get slimed!" he said. Well, then they have clearly hired the right man for the job as the awards show is known for sliming its celebrity hosts and presenters.
