Whether it's being rolled out for the movies or the best in country music, Nicole Kidman knows how to work a red carpet. A veteran of the glitz, glam, and flashbulbs, the Oscar winner hasn't missed and tonight's Country Music Association Awards were no different, with the superstar arriving in a plunging black gown with side cutouts and the most interesting hardware we've seen on the carpet in a long time.

Kidman, who attended with her husband, Keith Urban, coordinated her sparkling silver choker and hoop earrings from Rainbow K, but they both happened to match the triangular-shaped hardware that connected the bodice of her gown to its skirt. The geometric metal embellishment made for a set of huge cutouts that showed off Kidman's midsection and sides as well as her shoulders. The finishing touch to the sleek and stealthy look was a sprinkling of rings (keep an eye out for Kidman's signature awkward awards show clap) and a shimmering bracelet. Kidman also carried a little black bag on the red carpet.

For her glam, Kidman kept her hair straight and parted down the middle and focused the attention on her super-long lashes and peach blush.

According to Taste of Country, Urban is presenting at the ceremony tonight, which is being held at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. Performers taking the stage tonight include Kelsea Ballerini, Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, Luke Combs, and fan favorites Dan + Shay.

Every year, the CMA Awards "recognize outstanding achievement in the country music industry." This year, which marks the ceremony's 57th annual show, the Humanitarian Award is going to Darius Rucker, who fans may remember as the lead singer for Hootie & the Blowfish.
