Prince Harry Won't Be Seeing His Brother William During His Trip Home

Sources close to the royal family say that there are "no plans" for the brothers to reunite.

Prince Harry is already in London to spend some time with his father, King Charles, after he shared that he had been diagnosed with cancer — but that's the scope of the royal reunions that we'll be getting for now. People reports that sources close to the royal family shared that there isn't anything on the agenda for Harry to see his brother, Prince William, during his trip back to the U.K.

Harry landed in London's Heathrow Airport today and made his way to Clarence House. Many insiders believe that this is the first time that the father-son duo have spent time together since the monarch's coronation back in May 2023.

"That is good," a source told People of the visit, adding that Charles would probably also like to see his grandchildren soon. “Hopefully [Harry] will bring the grandchildren at some point too, as that would be lovely for all of them."

As for time with William (or Kate Middleton), a second source adds that there are "no plans" for them to get together. It's not entirely because of whatever tension may remain between the two. William is spending time with his wife as she recovers from an abdominal surgery and like his father, he's cleared his schedule to stay at home. With a limited staff, he'll be busy taking care of the kids, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, and has one major event on the books this week: an investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle set for Wednesday and a fundraising event for the London Air Ambulance.

Because of Charles's focus on his health, William will also be taking on some of the king's responsibilities. According to People, there are Counsellors of State, who are members of the royal family who can carry out constitutional duties for the monarch if he is abroad or unwell, but there are no plans for the royal family to exercise the counsellors yet. The current Counsellors of State are Queen Camilla, Prince William, Prince Harry, Prince Andrew, Princess Beatrice, Princess Anne, and Prince Edward.
