Sarah Jessica Parker Paired Her High-Slit Green Gown With a Very Carrie Bradshaw Heel

Sarah Jessica Parker will forever be associated with her on-screen character Carrie Bradshaw — at least when it comes to fashion. And while the actress has remained adamant over the years that she's nothing like Bradshaw, there's no denying that the pair's style is very similar. 

Case in point? On Wednesday, SJP attended the ATG summer party at Kensington Palace in London along with her husband, Matthew Broderick, wearing a bright green high-slit gown with a plunging neckline and sheer chiffon, cape-style sleeves. She paired the dress with a purple sparkly purse Carrie would go crazy for, as well as a pair of shoes she probably already has in her West Village closet. The metallic blue mules featured a tall heel and a crystal-encrusted adornment around the toe strap that coordinated with Parker's stack of sparkly bracelets. 

SJP's long blonde hair was worn down in soft waves with a middle part, and she swiped on a pink lip that complemented her smoky eye makeup.

Despite their indistinguishable style, SJP has previously claimed that she's "radically different" from her Sex and the City counterpart during an interview with the Wall Street Journal back in 2016. 

"People probably don’t realize that Carrie Bradshaw was radically different from who I was, who I continue to be," she said. "I think that sometimes because we look alike and live in the same city and haunt the same neighborhoods, that it was sort of like I was playing in the sandbox, when in truth it took real work every day to be her, to understand her, to not judge her."
