There's a reason Scorpio is commonly mistaken for a fire sign. Born between October 23 and November 21, Scorpios are magnetic and sensual, two traits that carry over from their love lives into their fashion aesthetics. No matter how hot their go-to outfits might be, Scorpios are very much water sign people, constantly in a state of flow and change.

"Due to their transformative nature, Scorpios aren’t afraid to take risks," says astrologer Lisa Stardust. "They believe in style evolution so they like to wear clothes that speak to their current aesthetic rather than anything reminiscent of their youth."

With their personal pasts more or less off-limits, it can be tricky for Scorpios to seek out fashion inspiration, especially when trends loop back to recent decades. However, thanks to their willingness to try new things, there are plenty of ways for Scorpios to update their wardrobes if they know where to look. And despite their reputations for wearing only black, "Scorpios aren't afraid of color," Stardust says. "In fact, they embrace it." This sign's love of bold and bright hues goes beyond color palette into prints and patterns, which Scorpios are happy to mix, match, and clash with equal abandon. The one shade you're not likely to spot a Scorpio in is white, which they hardly ever wear, according to Stardust.

Instead, they prefer structured separates that deliver maximum drama with minimal upkeep, such as peplum skirts and jackets or blazers with exaggerated shoulders.
