Sofia Richie Grainge's Very Best "Quiet Luxury" Street Style Looks

Ever since Sofia Richie donned not one but three Chanel dresses for her nuptials to Elliot Grainge in April, the poster girl of "stealth wealth" has continued to prove herself a modern-day style icon. Naturally, we’re taking notes. After all, every fashion guru has a formula for their signature look, and Richie is no exception. 

We’ve been studying Richie’s street-style outfits and have concluded there are three themes of the 24 year old’s aesthetic. First, Richie is a minimalist; her outfits consist of simple, elegant pieces, and she never goes overboard on accessories. Everything she wears has a purpose and works together seamlessly. 

Second, though Richie loves a monochromatic moment, she occasionally sports a vibrant pop of color. She tends to step out in neutral colorways, most notably black and white or beige, but if she wants to stand out, she does so in bold, electric hues like lime green. Third, Richie’s everyday wardrobe appears to consist of elevated basics. July 8, 2022: Head-to-Almost-Toe Black

Richie’s sophisticated look for a night out in London is a classic example of dressing up basics. To get the look, simply pair a fitted black T-shirt with matching skinny jeans, a black blazer, and white pointed-toe heels for footwear. The result will be as comfortable as it will be sleek.

June 05, 2023: Easy Athleisure

Whether you’re actually off to the gym or running errands (see what we did there?), athleisure is always the answer. What takes Richie’s workout gear from functional to a fashion statement is her accessories: stacked dainty necklaces, bangle bracelets on one hand, small earrings, a skinny scarf, subtle cheetah print sunglasses, and a pale yellow shoulder bag. 

November 23, 2022: Laid Back Neutrals

This ensemble is quiet luxury at its finest (and is low-key giving Elizabeth James from The Parent Trap). The combination of white cargo pants and white top follows the same formula as her almost all-black ensemble, but rather than go for a blazer, Richie opts for a duster-length beige trench coat and matching pointed-toe heels to add sophistication to the otherwise lax outfit. A topknot, stud earrings, and black sunglasses finish off the effortlessly cool look. 

September 15, 2022: Classic Blue Jeans

This early fall look has us singing the opening line of Elton John’s "Tiny Dancer," because Richie is the quintessential “blue-jean baby, L.A. lady.” The outfit’s foundation consists of a white button-down tucked into baggy blue jeans held up at the waist with a silver belt, but it’s the bag and shoe pairing we can’t get over. As usual, the model’s matching is on point, with a miniature black handbag and pale blue flats with a black pointed toe. Subtle, yet oh-so-sophisticated.

June 17, 2022: Preppy Details

It’s giving “Kim Possible, but make it fashion.” Richie is skilled at taking athletic, even slightly masculine pieces and styling them in such a fashion-forward way, even if she’s just picking up lunch. What upgrades this trousers and crop long-sleeve-top combo is the knit sweater over her shoulders.

March 29, 2022: A Basic Black & White Fit

It doesn’t get much simpler than a pair of black trousers and a white tee, though arguably the best part of this Sofia Richie street-style look is the pair of black and white UGGs she’s rocking for a casual stroll around the block. If ever there was proof that you can look good and be comfortable at the same time, this is it.

Once in a while, Richie will sport something other than neutrals, and we personally love this girl in green. The black and lime pairing is perfect for a night out, and the addition of leather accessories and dark rings gives the look some edge, while strappy heels dress it up.

While we’re on the subject of color, Richie in a yellow pantsuit is a sight to behold. Some colors just make us feel more confident than others, and you can tell Richie feels good in this hue, as she pairs the low-cut blazer and dress pants with gold accessories and strappy shoes with gold-tinted hardware for good measure.

When you’re looking for an alternative to dresses and long jumpsuits, take a page from Richie’s book and opt for an athletic bodysuit. They’re comfortable, body-conforming, and look cool with a pair of clean sneakers and statement eyewear.
