When it comes to rom-coms, everyone loves a nostalgic early 2000s flick with an enemies-to-lovers trope. Well, Sony Pictures just released the first teaser for Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell's upcoming movie, Anyone But You, and this film has both — in addition to a pop culture moment that took the world by storm last year. (Remember everyone thought these two were secretly dating?)

The first look at the film dropped on Thursday, and it appears to be reminiscent of some famous rom-coms of yonder, specifically The Wedding Date and The Proposal, with a hint of modern-day steaminess. The 54-second clip opens with Sweeney and Powell's characters, Bea and Ben, glaring and walking towards each other. It then cuts to a shot of the two on a boat, where Bea suggests, "Let's just tell everyone we're together," to which Ben responds, "What?"

"It could be kind of fun," Bea says before the trailer cuts to a montage of the two annoying each other. "There's no way we can convince anyone we actually like each other," Ben insists.

"Trust me," Bea says, "We're at a wedding a million miles away from home. Who knows what could happen?"

She gets closer to Ben, seemingly leaning in for a kiss before hitting him in the crotch. "Convincing enough?" she teases.

The film's star-studded cast includes Never Have I Ever's Darren Barnet, Barbie's Alexandra Shipp, Hadley Robinson, Michelle Hurd, and Dermot Mulroney, a member of rom-com royalty who actually starred in The Wedding Date alongside Debra Messing in 2005.

Earlier this year, the young stars made headlines (and raised eyebrows) when rumors of a budding romance circulated after behind-the-scenes photos from the film's set in Australia went viral. In an interview with Variety, Sweeney spoke about their true feelings surrounding the speculation. "It's a rom-com. That's what people want!” she said. “Glen and I don't really care. We have so much fun together, and we respect each other so much.”

Sweeney is engaged to Jonathan Davino, and, at the time Glen Powell was dating Jehane-Marie "Gigi" Paris, though they've since parted ways.

Anyone But You exclusively premieres in theaters on Dec. 22.
