Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez Gossiping at the 2024 Golden Globes Is Going Viral

Last night, besties Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez were both in attendance at the 2024 Golden Globe Awards. Swift's Eras Tour concert film received a nomination for Best Cinematic and Box Office Achievement, while Gomez earned herself a nod in the Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Musical or Comedy category for her role in Hulu's Only Murders in the Building. And while neither lady took home an award, they still had fun together at the event. 

The proof? Fan footage of them sharing a juicy gossip session during a commercial break, like real best friends do.

In the clip that instantly went viral on social media, Selena was spotted at Taylor's table with her arms around the singer, spilling what appeared to be some major tea. Whispering something to Taylor and their other pal Keleigh Sperry, the women shared a collective shocked expression, before Selena nodded in confirmation. 

"Oh that nod said a LOT," wrote one user on X, while another added, "the tea is piping hot."

People shared a longer version of their interaction on Instagram, and fans came up with all kinds of theories as to what they were talking about. "Selena and Taylor are saying let’s meet Benny and Travis at In and Out Burger when this is over. I’m starving," speculated one commenter. Meanwhile, another person thought maybe Taylor didn't like the “football” comment made by host Jo Koy about the NFL's obsession with Swift. 

The consensus, however, appeared to be that they were chatting about Kylie Jenner, who reportedly told Selena she couldn't take a picture with Timothée Chalamet. "Come to find out it’s bc selena asked timmy boy for a pic & kylie said no," a fan surmised. 

Last year, Selena and Kylie had drama after the reality star was accused of mocking the Only Murders in the Building actress on social media. Their feud, better known as eyebrow gate, began when Selena posted a TikTok of her beauty look, saying she "accidentally laminated my brows too much." Hours later, Kylie shared a photo of her own arches on her Instagram Story while FaceTiming with Hailey Bieber, writing: "this was an accident???"
