Blake Lively Had the Cutest Response to Husband Ryan Reynolds’s Super Bowl Joke

After cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs to victory at Sunday’s Super Bowl alongside Taylor Swift, Blake Lively is finally home after a fun-filled weekend — much to Ryan Reynolds’ delight.

Upon the Gossip Girl actress’s return, she took to her Instagram Story on Monday to share that she was back at her and Reynolds’s place of residence. “Honey, I’m home,” the 36-year-old captioned the photo, in which she smiled and stood next to a television above a fireplace that contained a paused still of Deadpool from the trailer of her husband’s forthcoming movie, Deadpool & Wolverine. “My day was good. Yours?”

Lively’s Instagram post served as a playful response to Reynolds’s viral Instagram post on February 11, AKA the Super Bowl — in his post, he stood at the same spot at the fireplace with the exact same still from the Deadpool & Wolverine trailer paused on the television screen. 

“Has everyone seen the #Deadpool trailer? Also, has anyone seen my wife?” he asked his 51.1 million followers, who quickly informed him that Lively was at “Usher’s concert where Taylor’s boyfriend is playing football,” to quote a fan in the comments section.

Reynolds’ original post was all fun and games, as he ended up watching Super Bowl LVIII with her live from the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. The Deadpool actor shared a follow-up post about the status of his missing wife on Sunday, taking a photo of her set of chunky bracelets and bangles — one of which included a Deadpool charm — with the football pitch in the background. “Found my wife @blakelively,” he wrote.

Following the big game, Lively and Reynolds got face time with Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes as they were leaving the stadium after earning his third Super Bowl win. The married couple each had a moment to shake the footballer’s hand and briefly spoke about the match, with Lively telling Mahomes that he was “amazing” during the game.
