It may still be 70 degrees in New York City, but Blake Lively is in full fall mode. After wearing an oversized yellow sweater earlier this month, Blake marked the official start of sweater season on Thursday in a chunky beige cable-knit pullover.

The actress stepped out with her husband Ryan Reynolds to celebrate their pal Hugh Jackman's birthday. For the occasion, Lively wore the turtleneck with baggy light-wash boyfriend jeans styled with tan and black combat boots and a bedazzled tweed crossbody bag. She accessorized with black sunglasses and pulled her hair into a messy low bun.

Her husband Reynolds also chose a sweater for the morning birthday stroll, but his had a depiction of a cowboy riding a horse. He layered his top over a white tee and beige khakis and added a gray beanie. The birthday boy, who turned 55 today, went a little more casual in a black Under Armour sweatsuit, a gray shirt, and a navy baseball cap.

The unexpected trio may seem odd, but Reynolds and Jackman share a close bond thanks to their roles in the Marvel universe (Deadpool and Wolverine, for the unfamiliar). The two are also starring together in the upcoming Deadpool 3, though filming has been placed on hold when SAG-AFTRA went on strike this summer.

Although the friends aren't currently on set together, they've still prioritized spending time together. On Oct. 1, the squad nearly broke the internet by showing up to the New York Jets v. Kansas City Chiefs game alongside Taylor Swift, who attended to cheer on her new rumored beau, tight end Travis Kelce.

Jackman, who recently separated from his wife Deborra-lee, posted a series of selfies, obtained by People, to his Instagram Story at the time, one of which captured him smiling alongside Reynolds, Lively, and Swift. In a separate snap he posed next to Reynolds and their Deadpool 3 director, Shawn Levy. "Probably one of my best selfies ever," Jackman wrote alongside the image.
