Oscar-nominated actress and cooking aficionado Florence Pugh and Emmy-nominated actor Zach Braff took their time making their relationship official. Still, fans and internet sleuths alike were in on the love story even before the two started appearing on each other's Instagram in fall 2019.

While their 21-year age gap became social media fodder, Pugh and Braff tried not to let the criticism get in the way of their relationship. Together, the couple enjoyed a trip to Disneyland, unlikely family friendships, and a very cute dog. However, the Don't Worry Darling star and Scrubs alum eventually called it quits in August 2022 after low-key dating for about three years. Despite their breakup, Braff expressed that he would like to continue working with his ex, who has appeared in a few of his films and whom he has perpetually praised for her acting ability.

Here's a look back at Florence Pugh and Zach Braff's relationship.

On April 8, Pugh said in an IGTV post, "On Monday, I posted a photo in honor of Zach's birthday, and I wrote a birthday message underneath. Within about eight minutes of the photo being posted, I had about 70 percent of the comments hurling abuse and being horrid — basically bullying someone on my page.

She added, "It is the first time in my entire Instagram life that I've had to turn off the comments on my page. I've never been an Instagram page that encourages that. I've never been an Instagram page that likes that toxic vibe."

"The abuse that you throw at him is abuse that you are throwing at me, and I don't want those followers. I do not want to have to be protecting my comments every time I post a picture of him. I really hope that I can continue this relationship with a lot of you," she finished.

Pugh added, "I automatically get a lumpy throat when I talk about it."

She did not expand on the details or timing of the split.
