Once a year, a meeting of the Hollywood and fashion minds takes place at the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Fashion Awards. At the event, major players from both the entertainment and fashion industries walk the carpet in their best looks to celebrate and honor designers and other style stars.

Demi Moore was one of Hollywood's best and (quite literally) brightest to step out on Monday evening. For the special evening, Moore stunned in a sparkly silver sequined Carolina Herrera dress adorned with floral appliqué details. The strapless dress hit right at Moore's ankles, allowing her strappy black heels to show.

The star accessorized with a red string around her wrist, a collection of bedazzled rings, diamond statement earrings, and a black clutch. Her signature long raven hair was worn pin straight with a middle part, and her glam included a subtle smoked-out eyeliner and peach lip color.

InStyle also captured the actress walking the white carpet in her shimmery creation while waving to the flashing cameras in a video shared to Instagram.

During the ceremony, Moore presented her friend Gwyneth Paltrow with the Innovation Award for her work with her lifestyle and wellness company, goop. This year's event was hosted by the oh-so-fashionable Anne Hathaway (who looked daring in denim) and had a long star-studded guest list that included (but was not limited to) Kim Kardashian, Vanessa Hudgens, Nina Dobrev, Martha Stewart, Kim Petras, Madelyn Cline, Ayo Edebiri, Emily Ratajkowski, Ariana DeBose, Quinta Brunson, and more.

Other honorees of the evening included Vera Wang, Joseph Altuzarra, Maria Cornejo, journalist Alina Cho, and Serena Williams, who received the Fashion Icon Award (making her the first athlete to receive the honor).
