After celebrating the death of her singledom with a very fitting spooky-themed bachelorette party (corpse bride look and all), Vanessa Hudgens will soon be walking down the aisle and taking her fiancé Cole Tucker’s last name. But in the meantime, the actress and singer is taking a break from wedding planning for her latest appearance while also proving that if anyone could pull off a black wedding gown, it would be the macabre-obsessed BBV.

On Monday, Hudgens arrived on the white carpet for the 2023 CFDA Fashion Awards in New York City, donning a full bridal look with a dark twist. Coincidence or not, the soon-to-be bride forwent the traditional white ball gown for a black Vera Wang dress with a plunging sweetheart neckline, a thigh-high slit, and a voluminous skirt. She added a pair of sleek black opera gloves, coordinating platform Jimmy Choo sandals, and Chopard diamond earrings.

Beauty-wise, the actress slicked her raven tresses back into a sleek bun and rounded out her glam with a bronzy smoky eye, winged liner, and a glossy pink pout.

Although we don't know much about the impending nuptials (or what her real wedding dress will look like), we at least know one thing about her upcoming marriage to Tucker: she plans to take his last name. During a recent appearance on the Today show, she told hosts Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager, "I'm probably going to take it. Professionally, it's obviously going to stay the same. But, yeah."

As for the inspiration behind the "chic funeral attire" at her bachelorette trip? "I told my girlfriends to dress for my funeral," she revealed. "Because I was like it's death to my single self, death to Hudgens. Let's do it, but like really do it."
