This Barbie is a first-time Golden Globes nominee and a first-time Golden Globes presenter. Tonight, Dua Lipa arrived at the Beverly Hilton Hotel to mark both of those distinctions, which came via last summer's bop "Dance the Night" from Barbie. The track earned Lipa and her collaborators (including beloved producer Mark Ronson) a nod for Best Original Song, where she's up against "I'm Just Ken" and "What Was I Made For?" from Barbie and Bruce Springsteen's "Addicted to Romance" from She Came To Me, Lenny Kravitz's "Road to Freedom" from Rustin, and — maybe most surprisingly — Jack Black's song "Peaches" from The Super Mario Bros. Movie.

Tonight's event marks Lipa's first visit to the Golden Globes, though she's no stranger to an awards season red carpet. For the momentous occasion, she wore a dramatic creation from Schiaparelli. Lipa's gown was a custom-made bustier dress in black velvet that included a touch of signature Schiaparelli surrealism with an embroidered bone design in diamonds and gold. The dress also included unique "umbrella" volume at the hem, according to sources close to the star. She finished the look with shoes from Jimmy Choo and archival Tiffany & Co. jewels from 1962.

According to Billboard, this year marks the second time in Globes history that three songs from the same film have been up for Best Original Song. It happened back in 1992, when Aladdin had its songs “A Whole New World," “Friend Like Me,” and “Prince Ali” nominated. Ultimately, "A Whole New World" took home the prize.

After this year's nominations were announced, Lipa celebrated the milestone with an exclamation point-filled post on Instagram that included a still from the film featuring her role as a pink-haired mermaid. It also offered up a behind-the-scenes look at the movie's production and had a cameo from her co-star John Cena.

"Wow waking up a Golden Globe nomineeeeeee!!!" she wrote alongside the photos. "This barbie is so grateful! So happy I get to share this moment with my collaborators for our song "Dance The Night" @carolineailin @iammarkronson @wyattish and so much love to the Greta, Noah, Margot and Ryan on their much deserved nominations!!! Let's go Barbie!!!"

A Golden Globe nomination is just the latest distinction Lipa can add to her stacked résumé. "Dance the Night" was also shortlisted for this year's Academy Awards, bringing Lipa one step closer to earning EGOT status. She's already won three Grammy Awards and with two more awards on the horizon (though she has stiff competition from her fellow Barbie collaborator Billie Eilish), it's only a matter of time before she's rubbing shoulders with names like Jennifer Hudson, John Legend, and Viola Davis.
