Emily Blunt's Best Red Carpet Looks Through the Years

Emily Blunt was destined for fashion stardom after stealing nearly every scene in 2006's The Devil Wears Prada, and she's more than earned every bit of praise for her red carpet style ever since. From starring in the action flick Edge of Tomorrow and the suspense thriller A Quiet Place to the feel-good musical Mary Poppins Returns, the actress has tackled almost every type of on-screen role and is just as versatile on the red carpet. Blunt's go-to designers include Michael Kors and Alexander McQueen, but she's also known for wearing whatever inspires her and stylist Jessica Paster the most, which has often involved cutouts, pops of red, and plenty of sparkle. 

It's thanks to Blunt's work with Paster over the years that the actress has meandered out of her comfort zone to develop a more colorful and sophisticated red carpet style, telling The Hollywood Reporter in 2019, "I was scared to wear anything too crazy ... Sequins, tight and beaded. That was kind of how I went." Since then, Blunt has embraced much more than sequins, adding a bevy of crimson looks, leather dresses, and fairy tale gowns to her rotation, particularly as a regular attendee of the Met Gala. "I do really love red carpets because they're full of fantasia, and it's so not what I wear every day," Blunt said. "She's [Paster] taught me a great deal about boldness, and it can bring out an element of yourself you didn't quite know was there."
