Nearly two weeks after her abdominal surgery, Kate Middleton has left the hospital and is continuing her recovery at home.

On Monday morning, Kensington Palace provided an update on the Princess of Wales's health, revealing that she was discharged from The London Clinic and is recuperating in Windsor with Prince William and their three children — George, Charlotte, and Louis.

“The Princess of Wales has returned home to Windsor to continue her recovery from surgery. She is making good progress," Kensington Palace said in a statement. “The Prince and Princess wish to say a huge thank you to the entire team at The London Clinic, especially the dedicated nursing staff, for the care they have provided."

The Firm concluded, “The Wales family continues to be grateful for the well wishes they have received from around the world." Kate is expected to return to her royal duties after Easter.

Kate's surgery was planned, but it was only announced to the public after she underwent the procedure (it even came as a surprise to those closest to the royal family). And while her condition does "sound serious," a source assured people not to worry.

“It does sound serious with the length of time [she’s taking]. But she is in great hands and will have lots of care and support at home and is a fit young woman,” the insider previously shared with People. “I am sure she will bounce back.”
