Kim Kardashian's super-short buzzcut isn't the only thing making headlines today. In addition to having another cover under her belt, the reality star switched to mom mode on her Instagram Stories, showing off a very sweet mommy-and-me matching moment with her daughter, North West. And just in time to offer some fresh back-to-school fashion inspo, the duo wore Chanel jackets in bold, bright highlighter hues.

In a series of photos shared to her Stories, Kim showed off in a bright yellow cropped Chanel blazer complete with the brand's CC logo on the buttons running down the front. She paired the look with sky-high platforms and a black leather mini. She finished the entire ensemble with an Ariana Grande-approved super-high ponytail and added her usual glam, including a smoky eye and a light lip color with darker lip liner. North joined her mother in a matching orange cardi and wore her look with chunky black platform boots and a longer skirt that had an asymmetrical hemline. Like her mom, she also wore her hair in a high ponytail.

Kim's posts come a day after she helped announce Usher as next year's Super Bowl Halftime Show headliner. In the clip, the singer gets a call from Kim, who tells him he nabbed the coveted spot on one of the biggest stages of the year (it's unclear how Kim managed to find out before Usher, but we'll go with it). Of course, Usher is taking the honors from Rihanna, who performed last year.

And that's not all she's up to. Kim is currently flexing her acting chops on the new season of American Horror Story, starring in Delicate alongside regular Emma Roberts. Kim's acting abilities have already made her a viral sensation, with TikTok users unsure where to settle: Kim is either a Meryl Streep-caliber thespian or she's the ultimate camp queen. Either way, it seems like the perfect fit for Ryan Murphy's motley crew.
