Ariana Grande's Grandma Surprises Her Backstage at the AMAs

Ariana Grande arrived at the American Music Awards on Sunday, ready for a solo, sans-date night. Her boyfriend, rapper Mac Miller is currently on tour, and her Nonna, who accompanied Grande as her date for the 2015 AMAs decided not to attend this year—or so Ariana thought.

Grande posted a photo from last's years awards of her and her Nonna with the caption, "queen of #AMAs !!!! thinking of you today & missing you. see you soon QM"

Minutes later, Grande was in for the surprise of her life, as her number one fan and devoted grandmother arrived backstage. "omg..........," she captioned the pic of her Nonna smiling in a backstage room. "This queen just walked right in ten minutes after my last post to surprise me. my heart. I love you."

Grande and her Nonna sat front row for most of the duration of the show, save for Ariana's incredible performance of "Side to Side" with Nicki Minaj, and when she went upstage to collect her award for Artist of the Year, of course giving her grandma a kiss on the cheek before heading onto the stage.

Grande may boast almost 90 million followers on Instagram and a very loyal fanbase, but we have a feeling her loving grandmother is truly her most devoted fan.
