Just days after visiting his father, King Charles, in the U.K., Prince Harry made a super surprising appearance during the 2024 NFL Honors on Thursday in Las Vegas, begging the question: Are Prince Harry and Meghan Markle headed to the Super Bowl on Sunday?

Perhaps Harry's unexpected cameo in Sin City points to the possibility of another appearance at the big game, which will see the Kansas City Chiefs face the San Francisco 49ers at Allegiant Stadium this Sunday, February 9. After all, he and Meghan are known sports fans. In addition to being the founder of the Invictus Games, a sports competition for wounded or injured service men and women and veterans, Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, often show up to live events to cheer on their favorite teams.

In November, the couple was spotted at an NHL game in Canada. They also attended the San Jose Sharks vs. the Vancouver Canucks game in British Columbia, Canada, to promote the 2025 Invictus Games will be held in Vancouver and Whistler. And, of course, Meghan Markle is a big tennis fan, having gone to the U.S. Open and Wimbledon on more than one occasion to catch the matches and support her close friend and tennis champ, Serena Williams.

When the duke presented the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award on Friday, he acknowledged the irony of being a rugby fan at the ceremony for the American sport. "Good evening, NFL," he started. "It's an honor to be with you all tonight."

"I really love how you stole rugby from us, and you made it your own," he teased, making the crowd laugh.  "Instead of passing it backwards, just pass it forwards. Why not wear pads and a helmet? Of course, have an offense and defense that makes sense. And why not take a breather every 15 seconds? And you know what? Instead of a 10-month season, let's just make it 18 weeks. Genius."

"All kidding aside, all you guys do on and off the field is truly remarkable," Harry said to the crowd of players, coaches, and NFL employees. He went on to explain the meaning behind the trophy he was there to present.

"You are role models for millions in the way you carry yourselves and in the way you give back. This final award, the highest honor, is all about serving your community," he said. "And there's one special man we'd like to pay tribute to now. A player who goes above and beyond and whose extraordinary commitment to helping others is a reflection of his own story."

The award was given to Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle Cameron Heyward, who made his way up to the stage and exclaimed into the mic, "Man, Prince freaking Harry. Man, I'm in shock. That's Prince Harry."

While it's unclear whether or not Harry and Meghan will be in Las Vegas for the Big Game, they'd certainly up the already considerable star power of Sunday's big showdown. With the possibility of Taylor Swift coming to support her boyfriend Travis Kelce and an Usher concert at halftime, this could very well be the most celebrity-forward NFL game we've seen in a long time.
