Kate Middleton Just Schooled Us on How To Wear a Pinstripe Pantsuit Set

Suited and booted.

There’s no such thing as too many blazers in your wardrobe. It's something that Kate Middleton knows best — she champions a pantsuit set (see: khaki, optic white, and emerald green) at almost every one of her official appearances. And on today’s episode of very good suits (not to be confused another royal's hit show Suits), the Princess of Wales is proving once again that she’s no stranger to stepping out in a power set.

On Tuesday, Middleton made an appearance in Cardiff, Wales alongside her husband Prince William as the royal couple celebrated the start of Black History Month in the U.K. and the 75th anniversary of the arrival of HMT Empire Windrush to London. For the occasion, Middleton donned a navy blue pinstripe two-piece set that featured a sleek, double-breasted blazer with gold button accents and coordinating high-waisted trousers paired with a white plunging blouse underneath. A pair of navy blue pumps, a silver wristwatch, and dainty gold hoop earrings adorned with pearls provided the finishing touches to the royal ‘fit.

Beauty-wise, Middleton styled her face-framing curtain bangs with her signature blown-out, bouncy waves and teamed her glowy complexion with a smoky eye, rosy cheeks, and a subtle pink lip.

For his part, William switched up his style sporting a black sports jacket and navy blue trousers with brown suede shoes and a navy blue knitted tie with a square end.

At the event, Prince William touched on the major part played by the members of the Windrush Generation when settling in the U.K. during the 1950s and 1960s, despite the "hardships" experienced.

“My family have been proud to celebrate this for decades — whether that be through support from my father on Windrush Day, or more recently during my grandmother's Platinum Jubilee, as people from all communities and backgrounds came together to acknowledge all that has changed over the past seventy years and look to the future," he said.
