Emma Stone Convinced Me to Swap My Jeans for These Martha Stewart-Worn Pants

Katie Holmes and Jennifer Lawrence are also fans of the style.

If you see me out on the streets, chances are I’m wearing jeans. It doesn’t matter if I’m headed to a picnic at the park, the office, or an Upper East Side dinner, I’ll be in the trusty blues. What can I say? Denim is comfortable, universal, and super flattering, but Emma Stone may just have turned me onto a new style of bottoms.

Seen on the set of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Stone wore a pair of satin trousers with a pinstripe design. The pants reminded me of classic office wear, but in the most stylish way possible, while the slightly baggy fit and extra-long leg made her pants effortlessly coo, too.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen satin pants take center stage. Katie Holmes put an edgy spin on her own pair, Martha Stewart donned a vibrant yellow option, and Jennifer Lawrence styled her own with a casual white T-shirt. The reason so many stars continue to reach for silky pants? Comfort, of course.

Like I said, I’m all about jeans, but I have worn satin trousers my fair share of times. Every time I do, they’re beyond comfy, and I feel like I’m wearing a pair of elevated sweats. Not to mention, they’re flowy and unrestricting, allowing me to be carefree in a relaxed (yet dressy) pair of pants.

Stone’s bottoms aren’t just comfy and roomy, but they look luxurious, too. Opting for a pair of silky bottoms has the potential to instantly elevate an outfit, adding a unique take without much effort required. Consider wearing your own version of Stone’s bottoms, like these Sweatyrocks wide-leg pants, with a graphic T-shirt and leather jacket for a biker-chic aesthetic. Or, dress up these Favorite Daughters bottoms with a sleek, neutral bodysuit and coordinating pointed-toe pumps. On the other hand, you can make like Stone and wear chunky gold accessories, an oversized coat, basic top, and polished footwear. The styling options are endless, taking the difficulty out of piecing together a gold-star ensemble.

My jeans may officially be taking a backseat after seeing Stone’s next-level pants. So, join me and shop for your own pair of satin trousers below, starting at $34.
