Dakota Johnson doesn’t quit. The hair icon has been giving us look after look during the Madame Web press tour, offering bold and sexy ‘fits to drool over — and her recent ensemble was one for the books.

Spotted in Manhattan, the actress wore a sleek bodysuit underneath a pinstripe jacket. The top layer coordinated perfectly with her straight-leg trousers, while gold-toned accessories and Jacques Marie sunglasses finished off the look. However, I specifically have heart eyes for Johnson’s Bottega Veneta mules.

The black, $990 shoes boast a soaring heel, pointed-toe front, and clean lines that add modern sophistication to any look. I like to call the sexy footwear the little black dress of shoes; it’s elegant, ageless, and never goes out of style. It’ll upgrade even the most casual outfits, while accenting glamorous uniforms just as easily.

I’m officially adding this versatile shoe to my wardrobe and found some pretty good picks. The Billini Ameare mules mimic the style, offering a sleek pointed front, unique square design, and glossy cap toe that sprinkles in a bit of fun while staying lowkey. Jimmy Choo’s Maryanne mules offer a similar construction, nailing the V-shaped front and letting your fresh pedicure shine.

Johnson-inspired pumps can be worn just about anywhere, earning them a few extra brownie points. Style the shoes with wide-leg jeans and a tucked-in white tee for a casual brunch moment, or dress them up with a sparkly silver dress and luxe jewelry, like a locket from Monica Rich Kosann, for a night out. The style is simple to pair thanks to its unfussy color and straightforward design, easily becoming one of your go-to footwear choices for the office, happy hour, and everything in between.

According to personal stylist and fashion blogger Tara West, mules are also the “perfect transitional shoe from season to season.” So go ahead and wear your new Johnson-inspired shoes all year long. Pro tip: Slip on a pair of sheer, patterned socks, like these from Calzedonia or these Sheertex diamond tights to elevate their versatility.
