Selena Gomez Revealed She's Had Botox While Defending Her Relationship With Benny Blanco

After confirming her relationship with music producer Benny Blanco, Selena Gomez was met with a slew of online comments criticizing her choice of boyfriends — and amid the saga, the singer got candid about her history with cosmetic procedures for the first time.  

Last week, Selena began commenting under a post by @popfactions that claimed the singer was dating Benny on Instagram, and while most of her mentions were in defense of their relationship, one reply revealed that she's gotten Botox in the past. It all started when one fan responded to the original post saying Benny was "SO UNHANDSOME," which led to another critic replying: "She can't get better."

Selena wrote back, "[I] feel bad for you," prompting a third user to tell her to "remove your cheek fillers/implants. It's messing with your brain." Clapping back at the rude comment, Selena admitted, “Hahahaha I’ve had Botox bb girl." The user's account and comment has since been deleted, per People. 

This was just one of several revelations made known by Selena. She also clarified the timeline of her and Benny's relationship, explaining that they've been dating for six months while responding to another critic. The commenter told Selena: "If you can't handle the hate then stop posting pictures of your boyfriend lol - it should be special between you two only. Don't be mad at your fans. They love you." The pop star then fired back, "Not mad. It's been 6 months bb. I will always defend my friends family and fans till the day I die." 

According to a source at Entertainment Tonight, Selena and Benny "have been casually seeing each other for a while" and their relationship only recently "became more official." They added, "Things have been going really well between them and Selena is happy. She thinks Benny is very funny and of course, extremely talented. Selena is in a great place in her life and feels content and relaxed. She is enjoying where things are going.”
