I Can’t Stop Buying Buttery Soft Loungewear Sets From This Target Brand

I’d be lying if I said I didn’t spend a lot of time scrolling social media for the latest trends. I’ve found myself bookmarking tons of shopping haul videos as styling inspiration for my own wardrobe.

I recently stumbled upon a TikTok that easily convinced me to run out the same day to snag a waffle knit lounge set from Target’s ultra-comfortable Stars Above brand. The cropped flared pants and matching quarter-zip pullover immediately grabbed my attention since I knew how versatile it’d be in my wardrobe when worn with fuzzy boots while running errands or with slippers around the house.

Each piece is sold separately, but I couldn’t help but buy both for a cohesive set. They’re available in black and white, but  I opted for black since the video mentioned that the white was a tad see-through. I couldn’t be more thrilled with this purchase. I already own numerous pajamas and loungewear pieces from the brand (like my all-time favorite pajamas), so I’m aware of its longevity and ridiculously soft fabrics that have held up through countless wears and washes. 

The $30 quarter-zip is available in sizes XS through XXL and features a stretchy knit fabric that’s light and breathable yet cozy for colder weather (I’d suggest layering it for added warmth). It has an oversized boxy fit and a cropped hem that hits right above the hips for a flattering cut with the coinciding high-waisted pants. One shopper said it’s comparable to more expensive athleisure brands on the market and praised it for being “so comfortable.” I fully agree. It’s just as luxurious as a pricier waffle-knit set I own.

The matching pants are made with the same fabric, an adjustable drawstring waist, side pockets, and a cropped wide-leg fit. While the pants’ hem hits above the ankle, I prefer this cut when I want to show off my footwear a bit more, like platform boots or sneakers. Several shoppers praise the cropped cut for being suitable for shorter heights with one person who is just over 5 feet tall calling them “perfect” since most other sweatpants are too long. Another reviewer called the fabric “deliciously heavy” and said they’re the “nicest thing [they’ve] bought at Target in a long time.”
