I own way too many pairs of shoes for my own good; there’s no reason a person should own shelves and shelves of footwear. I’m hopelessly devoted to heels, loafers, flats, sandals… you get the point, and being that you landed on this article, I’m guessing that you may be, too. So, let’s cut to the chase and divulge the real reason you’re here: the Everlane City Boot.

The boot features a taller-than-usual ankle shaft, dramatic sole that extends past the toe box, square toe, pull tab, and modestly stacked heel. The inside features a cushioned footbed, while the outside boasts luxe leather and a side zipper for easy on and off. The City Boot is available in black, white, and brown, and comes in sizes 5 to 11 —  when it’s not almost sold out, that is.

When the boot first launched, it sold out in a matter of weeks, and that trend has since continued. According to the brand, there’s such an immense amount of interest, the City Boot keeps getting swept off virtual shelves, hence why colors like desert tan and dark brown suede currently have minimal stock available. But lucky for you, cream, toasted almond suede, and even black still have a majority of sizes up for grabs — though I doubt that’ll last for long.

The Everlane City Boot really is worth the hype. I secured the desert tan shade and opened up the box with my mom by my side. Her first words following a huge gasp were “OMG!” — and her reaction was fitting given that they offered one of the most modern silhouettes I’d ever seen in a boot. But the boot stretches beyond first impressions.

I’ve worn these Everlane boots all over New York City, running down subway stairs and trotting down cobblestone roads and concrete sidewalks. Thanks to their butter-like feel, they required zero break-in period and have never once given me a blister, though for extra comfort, I like to wear tall socks to prevent the leather on the shaft from rubbing against my skin. By the time I’m home from any escapade, my feet are unscathed, allowing me to reach for the footwear again and again. Maybe that’s why it’s called the City Boot.

The Everlane City Boot isn’t just insanely comfortable — it’s also extreamly chic and easy to style. I like to pair the sleek boot with wide-leg jeans and a fitted turtleneck, but I’ve also worn it with sheer tights, a plaid mini skirt, and an oversized knit sweater. Whenever I step out in the pair, my friends always compliment my “elevated” outfit, when in reality, I’m dressed super casually. In other words, the City Boot is my secret style weapon — so much so, I’m snagging an additional pair in black.

I’m not the only one who feels so strongly about the footwear. “These boots are stylish, versatile and sooo comfy, especially considering I have sensitive feet,” said one shopper. Another reviewer with bunion-prone feet called them “comfortable right out of the box,” saying “they were easy to wear and walk in for several hours without issue.” One buyer even took them on a trip to London and “ran around the city for three straight days in them,” claiming their feet “felt great” and that the boots can be worn “with anything!”

If you want in on the comfy, stylish action, secure your Everlane City Boot before it’s too late; the style is bound to sell out.
