While I wish I could be friends with Nicole Kidman, that day has not yet come. So, I admire her from a distance — especially her outfits. The actress dons some of the chicest ensembles, leaning on the likes of fitted blazers, sleek shoes, and stylish accessories. Her pants landed high on the waist, and while not technically wide leg, they pooled at her ankles. Center pleats elevated the bottoms, while the overall color, a trending brown, was super versatile. Some may call trousers “unsexy,” because of their stuffy, office-like aesthetic, but honestly, I think they’re anything but that.

Trousers are incredibly simple to style, as they pair with nearly everything. Wear a style similar to Kidman’s pair, like these high-waisted Reformation pants, with a bodysuit, PVC heels, and a leather jacket, for a trendier take. Or, opt for a pair of pointed-toe heels and an open-front shirt like Jennifer Lawrence. You can also dress down trousers with a baby tee and loafers like Hailey Bieber.
