Martha Stewart was and always will be the queen of the kitchen. I remember when I was growing up, my mom and I would always watch her show together, bonding over our (and her) love of food and decor. Now, we still bond over all things Stewart, but in addition to food, the media mogul has also become quite the fashion icon, which means, “Mom, did you see Martha’s latest outfit?” is often part of our daily text exchanges. Plunging white one-pieces? She’s done that. Metallic pants that are truly ageless? Yes. But where I think she shines the most is, surprisingly, in the sweater department. And that’s a good thing, seeing as sweater weather is here and you’re probably in need of a few new knits.

In the past few weeks, Stewart has been spotted in so many different knits, I basically lost count of how many she has in her wardrobe. But, by the looks of it, I’d guess sweaters are her go-to for this time of year (as are they mine!), and in my opinion, she’s curated the perfect assortment of styles that are equally comfy, stylish, and timeless, so you’ll want to take note.

Stewart recently posed for the ‘gram with a fluffy pup, and while dog lovers were probably totally in awe of her dog, I was in love with her mint-green sweater. The color was *chef’s kiss*, but the real standout detail was the half-zip up that allows for wearing versatility. Though I’m certain where her exact style is from, I do know there’s certainly no shortage of half-zip sweaters on the market. The silhouette with the highly practical neckline has been around for a very long time, but Stewart’s pick was a friendly reminder that I, too, need to refresh my half-zips ASAP.

If you want a slightly lighter, more casual sweater, Stewart’s waffle-knit option is the way to go. Her beige pick featured a turtleneck with a drawstring closure — so cool and practical. The material is ultra comfy, which is probably why she wore it at home to cook, but it also looks eye-catching because of the texture. Not to mention, it’s versatile, easy to wear, and another timeless style that you can wear again and again. I’m especially fond of this Madewell cable-knit because of its relaxed-fit; it looks cozy enough to wear while couch-potatoing (my own term!), but still stylish enough to throw on for dinner with friends.

Last but certainly not least is a polarizing style that might conjure up thoughts of your grandpa's wardrobe, but I say, “That’s great!” Stewart went with a sweater vest that I am now running to secure for myself. She wore it over a navy-blue button-down, with the collar peeking out underneath, but it would look just great with a sleek, long-sleeve top or totally on its own. No matter what you think about the controversial knit, I say, “try it,” because the sleeveless design gives it incredible versatility and styling possibilities.
