Sophie Turner Has Worn These Comfy Sneakers 23 Times in the Past Year

Actress Sophie Turner is also no stranger to incorporating comfortable footwear into her street style. She’s been spotted in London on several strolls and going on walks with her children in New York City, favoring one sneaker in particular: the Nike Air Jordan 1 Low.

The light gray and baby blue shoes that Turner has been spotted in over and over again were, unfortunately, a limited edition color that is no longer available on Nike’s website. The actress has been seen wearing them with long trench coats and jeans, puffer jackets and flared sweats, and even with gray slacks and a sparkly halter top when grabbing dinner with gal pal Taylor Swift.    

The original Air Jordan was released in collaboration with basketball legend Michael Jordan back in 1985. It has since been a coveted Nike footwear style by ‘sneakerheads’ — aka shoe collectors — and the masses who’ve found it reliable in comfort and support. Jordans are released in new styles numerous times throughout the year and often sell out quickly. 

Combining Nike Air Technology, genuine leather, and a cushiony rubber outsole, the AJ1 Low resembles the brand's Hoops Original shoe but with a lighter weight and a sleek profile that is “comfortable” from the first wear, as one shopper put it. Another person said the sneakers run “true to size” while adding that they “give the appearance of a smaller foot without sacrificing comfort.” A third reviewer loves being able to “wear them with anything.”
