I Own Dozens of Lounge Sets, but This Flattering Duo From an Oprah-Worn Brand Is My Favorite

I live for comfortable clothing. IMO, there’s nothing better than snuggly fashion that lets you get cozy, especially when it involves an old-school movie and a cup of tea. Because of this, I’ve accumulated quite a number of lounge sets, yet I still managed to find room for a new selection from Spanx.  

I’m talking about the Spanx Better Base Henley Sleep Top and Better Base Sleep Short. This airy set doesn’t only come from an Oprah-favorite brand, but it’s quickly become one of my go-to options. Sold separately, each piece comes in sizes XS to 3XL and is available in both gray and black colorways. The top includes a flattering V-neck design and is adorned with a three-button closure, while the shorts feature an elastic waistband for additional comfort. Each piece is lightweight and made with super soft modal fabric, which honestly feels like butter against the skin.

I received my Spanx Better Base set while visiting family in California. Even though the temperatures were reaching upwards of 75 degrees, the outfit kept me cool thanks to its breathable and quick-drying fabric. I continued to wear the outfit once back in New York, where the temperatures dropped to 20 degrees. Because of the long-sleeve construction and snug fit, it easily transitioned to cooler weather, allowing me to practically live in the silky-soft ensemble. 

The dreamy Better Base set isn’t only practical for fluctuating climates, but it’s stylish too. While most loungewear can be frumpy or dowdy, this look is chic. The body-skimming fit is so flattering, it can even be worn out. While you may choose to leave the shorts behind (at least, during the winter), the top can easily be tucked into a pair of jeans and styled with heeled booties.
