Being your resident InStyle Swiftie, it fills me with joy to see Taylor Swift out and about, whether she’s out to eat at a trendy NYC restaurant, hanging with her gal pals, or headed off to the recording studio. Being a fashion editor, my excitement only increases, since Swift doesn’t miss a style beat. The same goes for one of her most recent ‘fits, one of which included a very sexy boot trend.

Recently, Swift was spotted wearing an all-black outfit that had Reputation (Taylor’s Version) written all over it. The singer donned a flattering turtleneck top alongside a tiny mini skirt. For accessories, she clung on to her Versace shoulder bag, proudly wore a Cartier herringbone necklace, and slipped on a Louis Vuitton Blossom ring. But I can’t talk about Swift’s going-out ensemble without making her Christian Louboutin Frenchie thigh-high boots, which go for upwards of $1,900 via resale, the star of the show.

Swift’s no foreigner to the sexy style, relying on leg-crawling boots like it’s clockwork. Just take a look at the singer’s recent ‘fits for proof. But she’s not the only one who has a knack for the dominatrix-like footwear. Margot Robbie substituted her pants for boots, while Amal Clooney is another fan, sporting thigh-highs and over-the-knee options like it’s her job. Though, Swift set herself apart by reaching for a lace-up design.
