Today, it’s snowing in New York City, which means heavy-duty coats, durable winter boots, and scarves are majorly needed. (It’s a good thing I have zero plans to leave my apartment today!) But by looking at the streets, you’d never know that this past weekend — and even just yesterday — was kinda, sorta “warm” enough to go pantless. At least, that’s the route supermodel and fashion icon Gisele Bündchen took for a New York Fashion Week outing.

The model attended a dinner for ‘It’ girl brand Frame on February 12, and to say she shut the house down with her all-black, Dominatrix-inspired look would be an understatement. Sure, Bündchen can simply do no wrong, and even spotting her in something as simple as white jeans and a button-down can break the internet — but trust me when I say that her most recent sartorial masterpiece is one you should take notes on, stat.

Bündchen took NYC nighttime attire and said, “let’s make it sexy and cool,” and that’s exactly what she did, wearing a mid-length, black leather trench coat from Frame and nothing underneath it — or so, it seems. She belted the topper at the waist, so it basically looks like a leather trench dress — but with a major front slit that went up to her hips. She styled the sexy outerwear with knee-high leather boots, proving this footwear style is still very much in for spring 2024. She finished off the look with a loose ponytail, black clutch, and lots of bangles.

The standout piece is obviously the trench, not only because it looks so chic, but because there are big things in store for it come spring 2024. Every year when it gets warmer outside but not quite warm enough to go coatless, the trench gets its time to shine. And through the years, there have been upgrades to the quintessential topper, but I think we can all agree that the leather iteration is easily the coolest.

If you don’t want to wear a leather coat with nothing underneath, that’s okay. It’s a supermodel take on the piece, but you can style the buttery topper with everything from jeans to midi skirts to dresses. No matter what’s underneath, it’s going to look so cool because of, well, that leather trench coat. Shop some styles below to get a head start on the spring 2024 staple.
