There are shoes, and then there are shoes — heartbeat-skipping, jaw-dropping, eyes-wide-open kind of footwear that, when you wear them, make you feel like you can truly conquer the world. Sure, some shoes (err, boots) are made for walking, but others are made for taking over the world — and Selena Gomez just wore a pair of optic white knee-highs that scream just that.
Gomez was photographed out and about on a chilly New York City day, wearing a look that might cause some raised eyebrows. It was not because it was scandalous or anything —t more so because the singer went with a color that was once taboo to wear in the wintertime. Winter whites are very much a thing, and the rule that you can’t wear the hue after Labor Day is, truly, a thing of the past.
Gomez went with an ultra-mini sweater dress in the crisp hue, which she paired with a long white wrap coat in the same color — monochrome whites are more impactful, after all! Because it was rather chilly, she opted for sheer black tights, which subtly peeked out from underneath her coat, but the winning piece — the star of the look, if you will — were those tall white leather boots that are almost as famous as Gomez herself.

Gomez’s boots were from Larroudé, a shoe brand that, despite being founded in 2020, has quickly made a name for itself. In fact, by the sheer amount of buzz and celebrity fans it has, you’d think the brand has been around for decades — but if the shoes are good, it doesn’t take long to create a devoted following. The singer slipped into the label’s best-selling Kate Boot, a simple, sleek, knee-length style that’s about as perfect as a boot gets.
The Kate boots are designed from a durable, supple leather that looks and feels so luxe. But looks aside, the style is also incredibly comfy thanks to leather soles that were made for extra support and durability, plus a memory foam insole that — trust me — is a total game changer when you’re walking in heels. The 3.8-inch heel is also modest enough for everyday wear. Love!
The Kate boot has also been seen on Vanessa Hudgens, who paired hers with a mini dress, plus Alicia Keys, Kate Hudson, and Camila Cabello, per the brand. That fan list is certain to grow as more famous faces continue to slip into the famous boot.
