When I grow up, I want to be as cool as Tracee Ellis Ross. Okay, so I guess I am already grown up (lol), but that doesn’t change the fact that I want to be like Ross when I’m her age. She’s cool! She’s funny! She’s so damn stylish! Just take a look at her most recent street-style ‘fit as proof of her incredible knack for fashion — that’s truly a cut above the rest, by the way.

Ross was photographed out and about in New York City, and though it was chilly, it wasn’t quite as cold as it has been in months — which means outfits are starting to be revealed underneath jackets. The actress went with an easygoing combo for a day of running errands, consisting of blue trousers with a front-seam for added elegance, a gray turtleneck sweater that she tucked into her bottoms, chunky yellow shoes, and that big, puffy, fluffy, marshmallow-like bomber jacket that looks just like the Loewe topper Kendall Jenner made go viral back in 2022. At that time, people loved to hate on it, but honestly, I think it’s better than your average puffer — and the fact that Ross wore the style now, oo, only further adds to its appeal.

Ross’ green-blus topper features a bomber-like silhouette, which already gives it an inherent sense of cool. Other puffer jackets can feel bland and boring, however this designer pick is anything but that. It has extra-puffy, oversized sleeves that get more voluminous as they get closer to the wrist, plus a super puffy hem, aka, all the volume is concentrated at the bottom of the coat. Love! Zipped up, you really see the volume, but when left open as Ross did, it’s a bit more understated and wearable.

If you’re feeling bored with your outerwear, then it’s time to take a cue from Ross and go with a big, puffy, marshmallow-like jacket that won't only keep you warm and cozy but is certain to spark up some conversations, too.
