Angelina Jolie Carried the Puffy Purse Style I Always Get Compliments On

If you were to step into my apartment and head over to my linen closet, you’d be utterly surprised to find shelves of handbags instead of blankets and sheets. Among them, you’d see a personalized embellished envelope purse, mint green shoulder bag, silver rhinestone pouch with tassels, and the list goes on. But one of my go-to bags isn’t loud or attention-seeking — and Angelina Jolie just wore a similar style.

Strolling around NYC, Jolie wore an entirely black outfit in true Big Apple fashion. The look did not disappoint; her pants were perfectly oversized, while an ankle-grazing coat added further movement to the overall look. Jolie’s pointed-toe shoes mixed in a touch of sophistication, while her oversized sunglasses played into a bit of mystery. Though, Jolie’s uniform would be incomplete without her quilted black tote.

The first thing that caught my attention was the large, oversized silhouette, which is actually the perfect size for a productive day out. Don’t get me wrong, there’s certainly a time and place for mini, cute bags, such as date nights and GNOs, but most of the time, you just need a purse that’ll hold everything and anything. I couldn’t get a look inside Jolie’s bag, though I’m betting she probably had a water bottle, book of sorts, makeup, and maybe even a scarf hidden away. The size is practical, and maybe that’s why Katie Holmes is just as big of a fan of huge bags.

Jolie’s must-have purse isn’t only spacious, but similar styles pair with just about anything thanks to the staple color that coordinates with a wide array of fashion options. Better yet, the unique texture adds an exciting element to the accessory, elevating your outfits with ease, whether you’re wearing something casual like jeans and a T-shirt or a classy trench coat like Jolie.

I own a similar puffy purse in the same hue. Whenever I wear it out, I receive tons of compliments, whether I’m trying to achieve them with my ‘fit or not. I’ve worn it to work, the gym, airport as a carry-on, and more. It’s held everything from laptops and water bottles to sneakers and changes of clothes — and its hands-down become one of my favorite bags.
