There’s business, there’s casual, and then there’s business-casual, and Margot Robbie just nailed the latter with a look that’s so good, I literally ran to my closet the second I saw it to see if I could recreate it for my dinner date tomorrow. In short? Yes, I can, and I’m so glad, because I was lacking some serious outfit inspiration after spending the last few days in sweatsets. (It was a busy few weeks!)

Robbie was photographed out and about in New York City, looking as cool as ever. She usually looks cool — that’s just an inherent quality the Barbie actress has — but her outfit instantly took her coolness to another level, and her denim style of choice played an essential role in that. She wore a three (err, four-piece?) look that included a fitted white tank top that subtly peeked through, a crisp white button-down that she kept open, plus a structured, oversized gray blazer-coat that looked so elegant. The winning piece? Those big jeans.

Robbie slipped into what I’m deeming the coolest denim style out there: wide-leg jeans. Even though it was just yesterday that we saw supermodel Gisele Bündchen wearing the pants we never thought we’d see again (ahem, skinnies), it’s bigger (and better) cousin was just spotted on Robbie. Is this a family feud? I think there’s enough room for both jean silhouettes, though I’m certainly partial to Robbie’s option, which oozes cool, easygoing vibes to a T.

Big pants have also been trending for a while now, so seeing the actress in the style isn’t surprising. Though her wide-leg option was certainly a more toned-down baggy option, it still had that flare (literally) and billowiness that’s signature to the cool-girl style, and while the aesthetic of it all is certainly important, the comfort can’t be denied either. The bigger the pants, the more roomy, airy, and, well, breathable the pick; sometimes, we don’t want skintight attire (we all have those days), and in that instance, these pants will certainly be your BFF.

The actress rounded out her business-casual look with pointed-toe boots, the perfect shoe pairing, a Bottega Veneta bag, and slick sunglasses. Well done, Robbie. Ready to emulate her look? Same. Shop similar wide-leg jeans from Spanx (for $49!!), Levi’s, and Favorite Daughter, below.
