Nicole Kidman proved my point with her recent ‘fit. On the set of Babygirl in New York City, she wore a satin shirt, long-line coat, chic leather gloves, a chain-strap purse, and cozy tights. This isn’t a one-off style moment for Kidman, either. She’s been reaching for the fluffy — and dare I say controversial — shoes nonstop. Recently, she wore two different styles on the same day, making me think she’s in her Ugg era. Other celebrities have signed off on the snuggly footwear, too, with Cameron Diaz, Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner, Jennifer Lawrence, and Kaia Gerber all styling the warm Ugg boots.

I’m no celebrity, but I am a fashion editor, and I’ve even given the must-have shoes my stamp of approval. I wear a version of Kidman’s Uggs on the regular, constantly reaching for styles like the mini platform boot and a look that mimics the Bailey button boot. This is especially the case during winter when temperatures drop to an all-time low. The warm interior keeps my feet toasty and warm, while pairing them with slouchy socks and leggings only increases their laid-back allure. I even enjoy styling them with oversized sweaters and skinny jeans for a blast from the past moment.
